Studies have found that the requirements of women to have healthy diet or good food are very important when compared to man. The primary reason is that women have to undergo lots of imbalanced phases of body stability as she is supposed to. The hormone imbalances are pretty much rapid in women when compared to men as the cases of pregnancy as well as menstruation would bring in some serious requirements to have a healthy diet and nutritional food. Experts comment that calcium and iron are the two important ingredients that women should have to maintain a better healthy diet and nutritional life.
Vegetables and fresh fruits, as traditionally recommended, still are the best to have without compromise to maintain a healthy diet and nutritional balance. Some of the fruits and vegetables meet the calcium needs of women. Here, special care has to be taken in over eating and under eating of calcium. Women, in their, early years, if had excess fruits and vegetables with calcium content, studies have proved that it delays or even prevents osteoporosis. Women in age group of 9 to 18 would require 1300 mg of calcium to meet requirements and it differs for different age groups. If routine food stuffs are not providing women with the sufficient calcium, then alternatives should be thought.
Iron is another unavoidable nutrient to be taken care of by the women. It is found that, women are losing 15 to 20 mg of iron each month due to menstruation; they should take iron contained food to compensate the same. Iron is present in meet and in leafy vegetables in different forms. If women are worried about the fact that they are not getting sufficient iron or calcium from the routine diet, they should think of an alternative in the form of a multi vitamin stuff or so.
